Head of Accounts & Business Development – Mexico

Job Description: Join us on our journey to build an innovative mining services company across Canada and Mexico. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of the mining industry in Mexico to take the lead on serving our members and be challenged by growing our portfolio of mining members. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, relationship driven individual. Variety underpins this position – you can expect a day to range from on-site visits at mines to talk about technical acceptance, to jumping on a call with a supplier to trouble-shoot an issue. There will be frequent traveling within Mexico and occasionally internationally.  

As Head of Business Accounts & Development you will have:

  • At least 10+ years of experience in the mining industry

  • Experience working in mining & industrial sales & business development

  • 4+ years of management experience

  • A current contact portfolio heavily weighted to the mining industry

  • An entrepreneurial spirit to grow the company

  • Outstanding problem solving and negotiation abilities

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and routinely throughout Mexico, occasionally including national and international travel

  • Manage a team of direct reports from regions across Mexico

  • Be invested in members' supply chain and goal-oriented towards efficient and effective operations

  • Submit reports accurately and on time including CRM entries and market information

  • Participate in industry trade function and represent Tamarack with various community stakeholders

  • Regularly communicate with other Tamarack leads to develop new opportunities

  • Overseeing clients through contract adoptions and determining client need

  • Excellent supplier/member management skills

  • Maintain strong working relationships with Tamarack members and suppliers;

    • Develop rapport with people from all levels at member mines​

    • Liaise with members to assist with contract implementation

    • Monitor contract adherence

    • Troubleshoot members' issues with contracts and suppliers

You will bring experience in:

  • Technical aspects of mining operations, services or supplies

  • Developing relationships with existing clients

  • Managing incoming member opportunities

  • Overseeing clients through contract adoption and determining client need

  • Excellent supplier/member management skills

Assets:

  • Experience working in partnership with Indigenous communities

  • University degree, post graduate degree considered a strong asset

Member Relations Specialist – Western Canada

Our highest priority is to find someone with a dynamic personality and great communication skills, who will look forward to connecting with and talking to our members every day. The icing on the cake for this position is variety - working in the field allows you to shape your day and serving our members will provide you the opportunity to build your network across Western Canada.

As a Member Relations Specialist you will have:

  • Experience serving members/clients/customers in a sales or business development capacity

Key Job Responsibilities:

Comme gestionnaire de compte et spécialiste en développement des affaires, vous aurez :

  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience au service de membres et clients dans l'industrie minière

  • Un esprit entrepreneurial pour développer l'entreprise

  • Compétences exceptionnelles en résolution de problèmes et en négociation

  • Volonté et capacité de voyager fréquemment dans le nord du Québec et de l'Ontario (allocation de voiture fournie)

Responsabilités principales :

  • Entretenir des bonnes relations de travail avec les membres et les fournisseurs de Tamarack;

    • Être le point de contact entre Tamarack Mining Services et ses membres

    • Être en contact direct avec les membres pour aider à la mise en œuvre des contrats

    • Aider les membres à respecter leurs contrats

    • Participer aux processus d'intégration des contrats avec les membres (c.-à-d. participer aux tests de matériaux, etc.)

    • Résoudre les problèmes qu’ont les membres avec les contrats et fournisseurs, au besoin

  • Connaissance des Ententes sur les Répercussions et les Avantages (ERAs) et comment soutenir les membres en l'observation de ceux-ci

  • Capacité et volonté de voyager fréquemment dans le nord du Québec et occasionnellement en Ontario, pour maintenir un contact régulier et une présence sur place dans les mines membres

  • Soumettre des rapports à temps et avec précision, y compris les entrées CRM et informations sur le marché
