Ben-Schoeman Geldenhuys​

 

Ben-Schoeman is Tamarack’s Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founder.  He is a dedicated mining industry & markets collaborator and excels at bringing industry and action together.

Ben-Schoeman as more than 15 years experience in the mining industry and even more in professional services. Prior to forming Tamarack, Ben-Schoeman was a Partner with Deloitte, leading the Deloitte Mining Practice in Toronto and was also the National Mining Tax Leader for Canada and Chile. In South Africa, Ben-Schoeman lead the DPMG Mining Tax Group in Johannesburg and spent 6 years with Anglo American PLC, working across the coal, base metals and platinum divisions.

As a tax lawyer working with mining companies, Ben-Schoeman is well versed in supply chain and procurement related maters within the mining industry.

Ben-Schoeman is an admitted attorney in South Africa and holds various post graduate degrees from universities in South Africa and Canada.  He has authored a number of articles related to mining taxation and financing, and regularly speaks at industry events.

When Ben-Schoeman is not leading Tamarack, he can be found perfecting his fishing technique or leaning into ambitious plans for Tamarack’s future.
