Gordon Bogden​


Gordon is the Chair of the Tamarack Advisory Board.  He is a mining industry & mining finance leader and all around industry specialist offering insights and strategy that Gordon has spent 40 years in mining exploration and development, mining finance, capital markets, strategy, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and private equity.  He began his career as a geophysicist and co-founder of Quantec Geoscience, then as a senior mining investment banker with CIBC, N.M. Rothschild Canada, Newcrest Capital, National Bank Financial, and Gryphon Partners Canada, where he was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner, before its sale to Standard Chartered Bank in 2012.


Gordon is currently a Senior Advisor and Chair of the Advisory Board at Origin Merchant Partners, Chairman of Allegiant Gold, Chairman of Black Loon Group, and a member of the Advisory Board of Sapling Financial Consultants.  He is a past Chairman of the Canada Mining Innovation Council (CMIC), a founding member of the Advisory Council of the Development Partner Institute (DPI), past CEO and director of Alloycorp Mining Inc., and a former director of Royal Gold, NexGen Energy, IAMGold, Orvana Minerals, Volta Resources, Canplats Resources, and several other TSX-listed mining companies. 

Gordon is a past member of the Bridgepoint Active Healthcare Foundation Board and the Mt. Sinai Hospital Foundation Board, a former Ambassador to the Royal Ontario Museum, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work with Right To Play as a member of the Canadian Advisory Board. 

Gordon holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Science (Geophysics) from Queen's University, is a Professional Engineer Ontario (P.Eng), and earned his professional certification as a Corporate Director (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2007. 

Outside of his time advising Tamarack and acting as a leader with the industry at large, Gordon’s adrenalin infused past-times include extreme sports and travel.
